Tulare Boulder

Evidence of ancient Heartland Region people shows up on the "Tulare Boulder", at Tulare, SD.  This boulder was probably a ceremonial or "Memorial Stone."  When it was discovered, it was lying nearly flat.  The boulder was surrounded by an ancient mound.  Today, this Ceremonial Stone stands four feet high.
Rumor has it that there was a companion stone, small enough to be carried off, which is what happened.  It was taken to the first World's Fair, reportedly lost and, again rumor has it that a fake was put in its place.  There is only one stone at Tulare, now, and it is much too heavy for anyone to just carry off and try to "fake".
This stone is covered with carvings which resemble Chinese signs.  It is found on private property 5 miles SW of Tulare.
When some Chinese visitors were asked about some of the characters that Ivan Loesch, founder/president of the Heartland Society, recognized as possibly Chinese, the visitors commented that they did look like some ancient Chinese writings but they could not read them all.
The symbols that look like a small "w" with a larger "w" are thought to be a small mountain and a large mountain.  The symbol that looks like a 5 toed foot, means flat land and the symbol between the "foot" symbol means meteor.  The "y" on its side means fire.  Perhaps they mean the people passed small mountains, then large mountains, then they came to a flat land.  Mr.  Loesch is still researching to try to annex some ancient Chinese archives to try to decipher the writings.  He invites your help.
